Tanks are DOT
approved under special permit 13957. Our cylinders are 100% tested 3 times.
They contain the OPD (overfill protection device) valve that allows only 80%
fill to allow for temperature expansion as is required on all propane
cylinders since 2001. Do not be concerned when tanks are filled, the propane
doesn't fill entire tank. . It’s the OPD cutting off the fill valve
when it is 80% of capacity. With clearview cylinders, they actually see the
fill is not full. This is the exact same on steel tanks, you just can't see
it.
